Raiza Goulao’s performance was the best news for Primaflor-Mondraker-Rotor-Ajram Capital in the 5th leg of the XCO World Cup in Mont-Sainte-Anne (Canada)
It was a very technical circuit which was wet due to the showers where Carlos Coloma did not find his best pedal stroke from the first laps.
In women’s, Goulao was close enough to fulfil her main goal in every World Cup race this season: being in the top 20. She did not meet the goal by the skin of her teeth as she was 21st close to the Norwegian Gunn-Rita Dahle. Raiza accomplished a consistent race riding around that 20th position all the time. She is now the 22nd in the World Cup general classification.
Meanwhile, Carlos Coloma had a great start that he could not crystallize over the course of the ongoing seven laps which made him drop to the 15th position of the GC. In the front, Nino Schurter achieved his 5th victory in a row with just one more for the historic strike in Val di Sole.
The Italian ski station will hold the closure for this 2017 World Cup the last weekend in August. In the Trentino region, PMRA Racing Team will try to farewell his participation in the top world competition making a good impression.
